All bed linen and towels are supplied and the beds fully made up.

The COOP village shop which is only 100 yards away, sells all the food and drink you need, is now open 7 Days a week, 9 - 5 in the winter. So there is no need to bring any food with you.

The Brambles Cafe (over the COOP) is now open so you can eat there if you don't want to cook. The breakfast is especially good

Membership of the nearby Langdale Country Club, which is within easy walking distance, with all its facilities  of fitness club, swimming pool, hotel restaurant etc is available on request on a daily or weekly basis

The house is situated in the center of the village of Chapel Stile, 4 miles from Ambleside in the Langdale Valley. It is perhaps one of the most beautiful  parts of the Lake District. The towns of Ambleside, Windermere, Bowness on Windermere, and Coniston are all nearby. The Langdale Valley is the Lakeland center for walking and climbing, with the peaks of Pike O'Stickle, Harrison Stickle, Great Gable and Helvellyn all nearby.

There is a regular bus service to Ambleside and up the Langdale Valley to Dungeon Ghyll, with the stop only 20 meters from the house

The village has a Local Pub, Cafe, Village Shop,  all within easy  level walking distance,

the local  Church is just up the Hill
