For information as to Rail Travel to Chapel Stile, look for travel to Oxenholme on the West Coast mainline, this has a connection to Windermere from where you can to take the Bus to Ambleside, and then to Chapel Stile
By road, take the A591 to Ambleside, then the A593 to Skelwith bridge (signposted Langdale) then the B5343 to Elterwater, Langdale, Chapel Stile and Dundgeon Ghyll.
By Bus, take the Stagecoach service from Ambleside to Elterwater, Chapel Stile, and Dundgeon Ghyll. In the summer about every hour, in the winter about every two hours.
